With the announcement of 100 card Historic Brawl coming back (At least somewhat) permanently I decided there was no better way to celebrate then to brew my very favorite commander for the format not once, but twice. This second version of the deck I will be showing off is a fun and janky dragon tribal deck. This version is designed to be filled with fun tribal cards that are less punishing and brutal as the sacrifice version.
Most of the mana base is pretty basic, a good number of dual lands, some basics, and a few utility lands. But we have made a few specific choices when it comes to the manabase for this deck. We have included all of the fetches, including Evolving Wilds and the honorary member Field of Ruin. We also have a few cards that power up the deck and help it in various situations.
This version of the deck keeps the main artifact ramp package, but changes out some of the non-artifact options for more relevant dragon based options
We also have a treasure token subtheme similar to the sacrifice deck, but focused around dragons vs generic treasure production.
Although card draw is less important then in the sacrifice deck, we do have a good selection of effects to keep us fueled and playing out big creatures.
You'll find plenty of ways to keep the board clear with this removal package. With direct damage spells, skewed board wipes, and some cheap hard wipes, you'll have no issue dealing with threats your opponents present.
We're a tribal deck, so we have plenty of our core tribe, Dragons. You'll find a nice big list of big beefy fliers, and a few honorary members to keep everything churning along.
You'll also find a few dragon support cards that either grab dragons from the deck, make tokens, or reduce costs.
And we have a minor sub-tribe in dwarfs. They help us make the most of our dragons.
